Wheatley

[edit]

@A Simple Human:. This was a confusing one, and I have asked CI about it. This is Dwight Wheatley Jr, but spelt Weakley in CI. The two other profiles in CI are, I think, both for Dwight Wheatley Sr, but spelt Wheakley and Weakley. There is an old CI article that mentions the older player where CI spell the name correctly as Wheatley. Bs1jac (talk) 22:34, 10 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bs1jac: The senior Wheatly has only one profile. Junior has the 1995 Weakly and Wheakly as Wheakly played for Bahamas U15 in 2008 according to CI. That cant be senior. Human (talk) 00:06, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
All fixed now. Bs1jac (talk) 06:45, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Def. not this guy?! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:48, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is that guy, but the name is wrong there. He is mentioned by Cricinfo here and the scorecard for that game is here. Bs1jac (talk) 10:37, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify, the guy in wiki (and in my last comment) is Wheatley is Snr. The guy in the squad for this series is Jnr. Bs1jac (talk) 10:39, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Coverage

[edit]

@Bs1jac: Even after searching for a long time, I found absolutely no coverage for this match that's supposed to be taking place right now (maybe you know that already). No live scoring and obviously no live stream. How rare it is nowadays to have an international match going with zero online coverage? Mashfi23 (talk) 22:22, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mashfi23 Yep first one in a while where this is nothing unfortunately. Caymans said on their ICC submission that they would be using one of the scoring platforms but the fixtures are not there. Bs1jac (talk) 22:24, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For now, can only hope that the major sites manage to acquire the scores sooner than later. Mashfi23 (talk) 23:07, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Bs1jac and Mashfi23: This series is so obscure that theres no live coverage of the matches. Cayman Islands being a bad host giving no information about the squads and matches. At least Bahamas posts something in Twitter. Human (talk) 02:11, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Its no more obscure than many others, its just that nobody has even bothered to Tweet the result. Pretty poor when associates should be doing what they can (within their means) to promote themselves. Costs nothing to at least give the result. This is going to be one of those where one of us will have to add details in the future after they eventually come through. Bs1jac (talk) 09:41, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The ICC Americas twitter handle is less than helpful! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:40, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Cricinfo are asking ICC for details, although no guarantee that ICC have them yet either. Bs1jac (talk) 12:45, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Kudos for persevering with this, Bs1jac. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:23, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
